Tanfield Metal Spinners Limited has been for many years one of the UK best known Metal spinners. We combine the traditional skill of over 1,000,000 spun man hours with ultra-moden PNC / CNC spinning techniques.
As an established company with a proven track record Tanfield Metal Spinners is constantly evolving to meet the demands of Quality and cost effectiveness. Our purpose built facility in Washington Tyne and wear provides our customer with outstanding products on the market. Our Technical Engineering Department has proven paramount in providing solutions to our grown customer base with complex issues on low-med volume cycle.

During early 1999, Tanfield made its first investment in a Leifield PNC /CNC Automatic spinning lathe. The purchase was quickly followed by the acquisition of additional Leifield, PNC automatic and semi automatic spinning machines, to a current fleet total of 12 machines.

In 2001 Tanfield re-located to its present site of around 25,000sq ft, this is 3 times the size of our original factory!

Investing heavily in PNC & CNC machinery, the company has grown steadily and in 2003 acquired Drakesons GMS which specialised in the manufacture of larger diameter spun components of up to 3000mm with a range of thickness up to 13mm, to become the 3rd largest spinning company in Great Britain.
