Based in Washington Tyne and Wear, (only 2 miles from the Angel of the North) Tanfield was founded in 1984 as a spinning company to manufacture hand spun components to a number of customers in the North East of England, where clear deficiencies existed for competitive and just in time deliveries for customers.
Investing heavily in plant and machinery, the company has grown steadily and in 2003 to become the 3rd largest spinning company in Great Britain.
We have one of the largest selections of standard stock spinning tools within the UK industry of Hemispheres, Dished ends, and Flat ends, ranging from 50mm to 3000 diameter, to produce customers components with no extra associated tooling cost.
